The process
From a color to a bike you ride home.
Seven steps, and you fill in a form for five of them. Design finalization takes about two weeks, frame fabrication and finishing take up to twelve weeks after that, and then about a week here to turn the frame into a bicycle — about four months from the drawing you approve to the day you collect it. Almost none of that is queue. It is how long the work takes.
Designed in the Pacific Northwest, fabricated and finished in China by a specialist titanium framebuilder, built up and handed over here in Kirkland.

Six finishes. This is the one decision that is genuinely fixed, so it is worth taking your time over — go and look at all six before you choose.
Fit data
A frame drawn to your numbers is the entire point, so we start from real ones. Send a fit report from a qualified fitter — or tell us you don't have one and we'll point you at a fitter near you before anything else happens.
Riding style and specs
A conversation, not a form. How you actually ride — randonneur, racy, all-road, gravel, or an honest mix — and then the components: drivetrain, wheels, cockpit, finishing kit, and how far you want to take the weight.
Design finalization
Geometry drawn to your fit, tube schedule and butting engineered for your load case, clearances checked against the tires you intend to run, and every component confirmed. Nothing is released to the builder until the whole drawing is dimensioned and you have approved it — no fabrication starts on a to-be-decided.
Fabrication and finishing
Tubes cut and mitred for full-contact joints, TIG welded under full inert-gas coverage with an internal back-purge, aligned, then polished to a mirror, masked, and coated in your colorway. This happens at our framebuilder in China — the people who do this work best — to the drawing you approved.
Build-up in Kirkland
The frame lands here and we build the bike. Components have been sourced in parallel and are waiting, so this is assembly rather than another wait: headset and BB pressed and faced, routing run, wheels trued and tensioned, drivetrain indexed, brakes bled and bedded, everything torqued to spec and test-ridden.
Local pickup
You come and get it. We set your position from the same fit data the frame was drawn to, ride it with you, and adjust on the spot. You leave on a bike that is already dialed in.
What's happening while you wait
Most of those twelve weeks are not queue time. Tubes are cut and mitred for full-contact joints, TIG welded under full inert-gas coverage with an internal back-purge, then checked for alignment at the head tube, BB shell, rear axle and seat tube before and after welding. Only then does the finishing start — and the polishing alone, which has to take every visible surface to a mirror before any color goes near it, is days of work on its own.
The color goes on transparent, over that polish, with no metallic pigment in it at all. That is the whole reason these frames look the way they do, and it is worth understanding before you choose one.
